BHM Program Objectives

BHM Program Objectives The Bachelor of Hotel Management is designed to meet the following objectives:

  • Produce trained and skilled workforce required for the hotels and tourism industry;
  • Produce managerial level personnel;
  • Produce human resource who can carry out supervisory/managerial research for the development of tourism;
  • Equip students with knowledge of and skills in both theory and management practice in the areas of hotel and tourism environment including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, tour guide, ticketing & reservations, customer service, air stewarding and cruise;
  • Familiarize students with the hospitality environment through internship programmes and practical hands-on training;
  • Broaden students' perspectives to enhance their continued personal and professional development;
  • Broaden students' horizons through visits to hotels and tourism organisations and participation in relevant talks, workshops, and seminars.;
  • To make a successful entrepreneur in a small/medium size enterprise.
  • Understand the nature and objectives of a hotel and tourism practices.
