Introduction
South Asian School of Tourism and Hotel Management (SASTHM) was established in 2001 Ad which is one of the finest educational institutions committed to excellence and innovation. It is situated in the heart of Biratnagar, the second biggest city of Nepal. SASTHM is affiliated to Purbanchal University and CTEVT, Nepal. With the modern infrastructure, SASTHM launched its undergraduate program Bachelor in Hotel Management (BHM) in the year 2001 and with a decade long experience; it started its Bachelor's of Business Administration (BBA) program in the year 2009. Now, SASTHM has stood as an Icon Institute in eastern zone with a home of over 250 promising students.
SASTHM is founded with a mission to produce graduates and scholars with highly competitive skills and sense of professional ethics. SASTHM, unlike other colleges, offers a unique combination of education and career preparation features that provide students with a competitive edge and the skills sought by employers.
SASTHM primarily focuses on imparting management education which provides an avenue to students who have career aspiration towards management, business and entrepreneurship. It believes in continuous improvement and lifelong learning for betterment of individual, organisation and society.

Scholarship
- SASTHM offers number of scholarships at the time of admission, such as;
- Meritorious Scholarship for students holding outstanding academic performance in their intermediate level of studies
- Need Based Scholarship for students who cannot financially support their education
- Under Privileged Scholarship for Minority Groups
- SASTHM Students Scholarship for students who have completed their intermediate level or (10+2) studies from Arniko Boarding School, Biratnagar.
The scholarship offered by the SASTHM during the time of admission will be based upon the student’s academic performance, entrance examination and interview. However, the scholarship offered during the time of admission will be valid for the First Semester Only and for the remaining semesters, students can apply for Performance Based Scholarship.
Performance Based Scholarship
In order to acknowledge and appreciate the outstanding performance of students at the BBA level, the management committee has instituted a Performance Based Reward that is transparent and competitive. Scholarship for the succeeding semester will depend entirely upon the student’s performance in the previous semester. The internal grading earned in a semester will be the sole basis for Performance Based Scholarship.
